Danish municipalities would like to know when their respective outdoor sports areas are used. To preserve anonymity for the people using the sports areas thermal images where used. Aalborg University trained an AI system based on ResNet50 that can find people in thermal images. Reports of how many people were on the field at different times were sent to the municipalities.
