Call for papers

We welcome computer vision-based research contributions as well as best-practice contributions focusing on the following (and similar) topics:

  • alternative sensing in sports (beyond the visible spectrum)

  • automatic narration and captioning in sports
  • training assistance in sports
  • augmented/virtual reality in sports
  • datasets in sports
  • bias in sports
  • XAI in sports
  • ethics & algorithms in sports

Submission deadline: March 5, 2026 (Anywhere on Earth)NB: Due to the very tight timeline given by CVPR chairs/IEEE for papers in proceedings, no extensions to this deadline can be given.

Important info: Anyone who plans to submit a paper as an author or a co-author will need to create (or update) their OpenReview profile by the paper submission deadline. Please note that if you use a non-institutional email address such as gmail.com, it can take up to two weeks to approve your OpenReview profile.  Profiles tied to institutional email addresses are generally approved automatically.  Plan accordingly.  By submitting a paper to CVsports, the authors agree to the review process and understand that papers are processed by the OpenReview system to match each manuscript to the best possible reviewers

This year we invite sports related papers accepted for CVPR 2026 main conference to bring their poster for CVsports for extended reach and discussions.
