Therefore, we invite short papers presenting novel concepts, groundbreaking ideas, or last-minute findings that warrant presentation at the workshop. The short papers should focus computer vision in the underwater domain or other vision applications related to the marine environment, including in-air monitoring and remote sensing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All accepted short papers are to be presented with a poster at the workshop. Additionally, authors of accepted short papers will be invited to submit a full paper to the Springer-Nature Pattern Analysis and Applications Special Issue on Marine Vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Topics<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Topics include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Underwater<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>image enhancement and color reconstruction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>image formation models<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>navigation and mapping<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3D reconstruction of scenes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>calibration and parameter estimation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>long-tailed visual recognition<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>multiple object tracking and behavioral analysis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(Inverse) rendering and underwater scene representations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>physical models of reflectance and light transport, including multispectral or hyperspectral<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Marine<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>indiscernible object counting (e.g., schools of fish, fisheries catch)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>species and size estimation on fishing vessels<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>fine-grained classification of organisms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>foundation models<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>environmental monitoring using remote sensing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>datasets and evaluation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>learning from limited data<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>object detection and segmentation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sensing beyond the visible spectrum<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Important dates<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>2nd Workshop on Marine Vision<\/strong> is scheduled at <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">September 8\/9th (TBD), 2026<\/span> in Malm\u00f6, Sweden. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Submission deadline:<\/strong> July 31st, 2026 (11:59h, End of day, GMT) <br><strong>Author notification:<\/strong> August 14th, 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please note:<\/strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">In-person attendance<\/span> at the poster session is <strong>mandatory<\/strong> for accepted short papers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Submission<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Paper Length:<\/strong> Short papers are limited to 6 pages, including figures and tables, in the <a href=\"https:\/\/eccv.ecva.net\/Conferences\/2026\/SubmissionPolicies\">LNCS style of Springer<\/a>. Additional pages containing only cited references are allowed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Review Process:<\/strong> Submissions undergo a double-blind peer review by the short paper ACs. During the review process, submitted papers will be visible only to the assigned reviewers and members of the organizing committee. Reviews and submission content will remain strictly confidential and will not be publicly accessible. Additionally, we will not solicit public comments or open discussion on submissions during the review phase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Archiving:<\/strong> Accepted papers will be published through OpenReview directly, without a camera ready-phase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Supplementary material:<\/strong> No supplementary material is allowed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Submission portal:<\/strong> Link to OpenReview submission page [TBD]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please note:<\/strong> we do not implement the contribution types from the main conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Author guidelines<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Papers should be formatted using the <a href=\"https:\/\/eccv.ecva.net\/Conferences\/2026\/SubmissionPolicies\">official ECCV 2026 author kit<\/a>. Papers not using the template, not properly anonymized, or including more than 6 pages (excluding references) will be desk rejected without further review.
